U.S. Customs Brokerage Compliance / Operations Manager

Ready to Leave the Corporate World Behind?

Are you an experienced Customs Brokerage professional who enjoys solving problems, building client relationships, and taking ownership of your work?

Are you looking to leave the bureaucracy of a large corporate environment and join a smaller, well-established brokerage where your experience and ideas truly matter?

We are seeking a seasoned Customs Brokerage professional to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in a small company where you'll wear many hats, make an impact every day, and work in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Research and resolve customs, compliance, and operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Support and mentor team members while helping improve operational processes and efficiencies.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in U.S. Customs Brokerage or international trade operations.
  • At least 2–3 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with:
  • ISF filings
  • Customs entry processing
  • Data entry
  • Import compliance
  • HTS classification
  • Duty assessment and valuation
  • CBP regulations and requirements
  • Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs laws and regulations, including 19 CFR.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A positive attitude, sound judgment, strong common sense, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Broker License preferred but not necessary.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Why Join Our Team?

This isn't a large corporate brokerage where you're just another employee.

At our company, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Make a meaningful impact every day.
  • Work across all aspects of customs brokerage and international trade.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients.
  • Have your experience, ideas, and initiative recognized and appreciated.
  • Enjoy a collaborative, team-oriented environment where everyone contributes to the company's success.
  • Continue growing professionally while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is ready to become an integral part of a growing brokerage.

If you're an experienced Customs Brokerage professional seeking a rewarding career where your expertise truly makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
